Igidu End User License Agreement
Agreement version: 2026-11-06. This version takes effect for you when you accept it in a release of Igidu that presents it for acceptance. Test builds that identify this document as a review draft do not request acceptance of a finalized agreement.
1. About this agreement
This agreement is between you and the operator identified in section 14 ("Igidu," "we," "us" or "our"). It governs Igidu for Mac and updates supplied under this agreement (the "Software"). Igidu is the product and trading name, not a separate legal entity.
Read this agreement before choosing "Agree and Continue." If you do not agree, decline and do not use the Software. Declining does not remove any right to a refund. You must be legally able to enter this agreement. Where local law permits, a parent or legal guardian may accept it on behalf of a minor and supervise their use. Anyone accepting for an organization must have authority to bind it.
Our Privacy Policy explains information handling. Accepting this agreement is not consent to recording, microphone use, optional diagnostics, marketing or analytics. Those permissions and choices remain separate.
2. Your license
We grant you a limited, nonexclusive license to install and use the Software in accordance with this agreement and your entitlement. We retain ownership of the Software and its original assets. You retain your rights in your recordings, profiles and other content. Lawful commercial use of recordings you create is permitted, subject to any third-party rights in their contents.
Free features do not require a Pro purchase or a trial. The feature comparison presented before purchase describes the paid features included. A one-time Igidu Pro purchase licenses the Mac 1.x major version on up to two personal Macs you own or control at a time. It includes the Pro features and 1.x updates we release. It is not a subscription and has no automatic renewal charge. Future major versions, other operating systems and separate products are not included unless the offer expressly includes them.
The purchased version remains licensed for ongoing use unless the license ends under this agreement. This does not promise unlimited future upgrades, indefinite support or compatibility with every future version of macOS, game, device or service. Mandatory rights to conformity, remedies and updates still apply.
Activation, trial requests, purchase recovery and managing activated Macs require an internet connection. A valid paid activation already stored on your Mac can be used offline. Reinstalling, removing activation data or moving to another Mac may require recovery and reactivation. A temporary service outage does not itself cancel your paid license. Keep your purchase confirmation so that you can recover access.
3. Trial and expiry
Where offered, the no-card Pro trial starts only after you expressly request it and receive a verified trial activation. It runs for 72 consecutive hours, including time while Igidu is closed. It does not charge you automatically. Reinstalling does not create a new trial entitlement.
After the trial expires, Free remains available and starting new Pro work requires a paid entitlement. An already-running Pro session may receive up to two hours to finish. This is a wind-down period, not an extension for starting new sessions. Where possible, Igidu finalizes an active recording or saves the remaining replay buffer at the end of that period. Storage, capture or export failures can still prevent a save.
Trial expiry or loss of Pro access does not delete completed recordings, profile backups or settings already saved to your hardware. Continued use of paid controls in Igidu requires an active entitlement.
4. Purchases, refunds and cancellation rights
Checkout states the final price, currency, taxes, product scope and seller before you pay. Your receipt identifies the seller of record. If Paddle sells the Software to you, its buyer terms also govern that purchase. We do not receive your full payment-card number or card security code.
Igidu offers a full refund if you request it within 14 calendar days after your one-time Pro purchase. Email support@igidu.app with your order reference or the email used for the purchase. You do not need to provide a reason to use this voluntary policy. For a purchase sold by Paddle, you may also use the support or refund route in your receipt or visit https://paddle.net. We will honor this policy and arrange the refund with the seller of record. Do not send payment-card details or passwords to support.
This voluntary policy is additional to statutory withdrawal, cancellation, warranty and refund rights. Those rights may last longer or apply in other circumstances. Downloading or activating Igidu does not remove our voluntary 14-day refund offer. Acceptance of this EULA alone does not waive any statutory withdrawal right. Any separate request to begin immediate digital delivery, and any legally permitted acknowledgment about withdrawal rights, must be presented by the seller when required by law.
A clear statement that you wish to cancel or obtain a refund is sufficient to contact us. No particular wording or form is required by Igidu. You may also use any statutory withdrawal form or method available through the seller. A refund ends the corresponding paid entitlement. It does not give us ownership of, or permission to delete, your completed recordings. Applicable law determines any additional remedies or required refund timing.
5. Acceptable use and intellectual property
Use the Software only where lawful. Do not distribute modified copies as authentic Igidu, sell or rent access to another person's activation, bypass licensing controls, or remove notices in ways that infringe the relevant rights. Do not use it to obtain unauthorized access to devices, accounts or private information.
You may make reasonable backup copies for your licensed use. You may move an activation between your Macs through purchase recovery and device management, subject to the two-Mac allowance. Transfer rights, interoperability, security research, reverse engineering and other activities that applicable law permits cannot be restricted by this agreement. Third-party and open-source licenses also remain effective for the components they cover.
6. Recording, replay and consent
You choose a window and available audio sources before starting recording or replay. Replay continuously captures and temporarily buffers recent footage while enabled, even if you never save a clip. A local recording indicator does not notify the people whose voices or content might be captured and does not establish their consent.
Game or application audio can include other windows or tabs of the selected application and voice chat played by that application. Turning off your microphone does not remove voices already included in application audio. Igidu does not identify participants or decide whether their permission is required or has been obtained.
You are responsible for your source selections and for obtaining the permissions required by applicable recording, privacy, copyright and communication laws. Follow the rules of games, services and platforms when recording or sharing. Do not use Igidu for unlawful surveillance or unlawful disclosure of private material. The availability of a capture feature grants no rights in another person's voice, music, footage or other content.
We do not claim ownership of your recordings. Igidu's local recording feature does not upload them to us. If you separately provide a clip, screenshot or diagnostic file for support, we may use it to address that support request as described in the Privacy Policy. This agreement does not give us permission to publish that material or use it to train AI models.
7. Files and replay limitations
You control the destination for completed recordings. That destination may be externally attached, shared, backed up or cloud-synchronized under your own settings. Review recordings before sharing them and maintain any backups you need.
Manually turning replay off discards unsaved buffered footage and cancels a pending replay save. Quitting Igidu normally allows an already-requested replay save to finish or report failure before the app closes. Force quit, power loss, a crash, storage failure or an export timeout can interrupt saving. Quitting does not by itself request a save of footage you have not chosen to save.
If the selected game window temporarily stops supplying frames, replay can pause buffering and resume for that same window. Missing footage cannot be reconstructed. A closed window, capture error, lost permission or other interruption may require starting replay again. Replay is not an archival or guaranteed backup service.
Temporary export files can remain after a crash or failed cleanup. Removing a buffer or temporary file is not a guarantee of forensic erasure from operating-system swap, backups or synchronization services. Completed recordings remain ordinary files under your control.
8. Device controls, permissions and compatibility
Features depend on the exact model, connection, firmware, macOS version, permissions and application. Detection means that Igidu can identify a device, not that every advertised or vendor-specific capability is supported. An owner-tested or validated label describes reported testing of the listed features. It is not manufacturer certification or a guarantee for every setup. Check the compatibility information for the feature you need before purchasing.
Some controls change macOS input or audio behavior. Others write settings or profiles to hardware and can remain effective after Igidu closes or is uninstalled. Saved preferences may be reapplied as described in the interface. Backups and readback checks help reduce risk but do not guarantee recovery from every interrupted hardware write. Follow the app's instructions when saving profiles, disconnecting a device or sharing it with another control app.
Permissions are managed through macOS and may be revoked. Controller or remapped input can also reach a game or another app. Igidu does not guarantee exclusive control of those inputs, compatibility with every anti-cheat system, compliance with every game's input rules or freedom from third-party account restrictions. You remain responsible for following those rules. This does not relieve Igidu of responsibility for its own conduct or express promises.
Recording, replay, audio processing and other active features use computing resources. Results vary with your Mac, free storage and workload. Higher resolution, frame rate or replay duration may increase resource use. Protected content and operating-system restrictions can prevent capture. No universal compatibility or zero-performance-impact promise is made. Use comfortable listening levels when adjusting volume or equalization.
9. Third-party software and services
Apple, hardware manufacturers, games, music services and other providers operate their own products and services under their own terms. You may need a separate account, license or subscription. Igidu does not provide access to paid third-party content and is not sponsored or endorsed by those providers unless expressly stated.
Third-party components are governed by their applicable licenses. The app includes the relevant notices in its bundle at Contents/Resources, including SPARKLE-LICENSE.txt and OPUS-LICENSE.txt. On macOS, you can inspect these by choosing Show Package Contents on Igidu.app. Those component licenses prevail over conflicting terms here for the components they cover.
10. Updates, support and service changes
Obtain Igidu from https://igidu.app or its identified update channel. Update checks and installations follow the app's update controls. We may provide security, reliability and compatibility updates. Install updates needed to keep supported features working securely. The terms presented for an update apply subject to the rights preserved here.
Contact support@igidu.app for product, activation or refund help. Support does not guarantee a response or resolution within a particular time unless a separate offer expressly says so. We will not use this agreement to remove statutory update or support obligations.
If essential online licensing services are discontinued, we will give reasonable advance notice where practicable and explain the available arrangements and any applicable remedies. This agreement does not promise an unimplemented universal unlock or migration service. We will not use service discontinuation to defeat mandatory rights or a completed purchase's agreed entitlement.
11. Warranties and liability
You retain all warranties, conformity guarantees, remedies and other protections that cannot lawfully be waived. Published descriptions and express commitments remain effective. We do not disclaim mandatory implied consumer warranties or limit remedies for their breach. In particular, nothing here excludes or limits rights protected by Kansas law where K.S.A. 50-639 applies.
Subject to those protections, we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, compatibility with every third-party product, or recovery of every unsaved file. These limitations in expected functionality do not excuse failure to meet an express promise or a legal obligation.
For consumers, our responsibility for loss, damage and remedies is determined by applicable law without a contractual monetary cap under this agreement. Consumer status is determined by law, not merely by whether you use the app for work.
Only if you are not entitled to consumer protections for the transaction, and only to the extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability arising from the Software is limited to the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid for the affected license. For those non-consumer transactions only, we exclude indirect or consequential losses to the extent lawfully excludable.
Neither of those business-use limitations applies to fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury, damage to property where protected by law, breach of obligations that cannot be limited, or any liability that the law prohibits limiting. Your responsibility for unlawful recording or sharing does not release us from responsibility for our own actions. This agreement imposes no general consumer indemnity obligation.
12. Ending use or an entitlement
You may stop using and uninstall Igidu at any time. This does not affect any refund or other remedy available to you. Uninstalling may leave preferences, backups, recordings or settings stored on peripherals.
We may suspend or end an entitlement for material breach, fraud or a refunded purchase, subject to applicable law. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and give a reasonable opportunity to correct a remediable breach. We may act promptly when necessary to address fraud, security threats or legal requirements. These powers do not remove your right to dispute a decision or seek a lawful remedy.
When an entitlement ends, stop using the features it licensed. Free remains available unless your right to use the Software as a whole has lawfully ended. Completed recordings and hardware profiles are not erased to enforce licensing. Terms needed to resolve an existing dispute, protect ownership or preserve accrued rights continue as applicable.
13. Applicable law and changes
Kansas law governs this agreement to the extent permitted by applicable law, without excluding mandatory protections available to you in your place of residence. Consumers may use the courts and complaint procedures available under applicable law. This agreement requires neither mandatory arbitration nor a class-action waiver.
You are welcome to contact support@igidu.app to seek an informal resolution. Doing so is not a prerequisite to exercising legal rights and does not shorten legal deadlines.
We will identify material changes and request renewed acceptance where required. Changes do not retroactively eliminate accrued rights or reduce a completed purchase's promised scope without a lawful basis. If a provision cannot be enforced, the rest continues to the extent legally permissible. Mandatory local language and disclosure requirements remain applicable. A translation does not reduce your statutory rights.
